Keeping your pool water balanced is only one of the many maintenance services that we provide in our weekly salt pool cleaning service. After we test the water, we add the needed chemicals to keep algae and other contaminants at bay. A balanced pool, is a safe pool!

Pool Shocking

Not every pool needs to be "shocked" every week. However, when needed, we will shock your pool with specialized pool chemicals that increase the chlorine in your pool's water to eliminate any organic contaminants that may be lurking.

Pool Brushing

Pool surface skimming involves the removal of leaves and debris that is floating on the surface of your water. Removing surface debris by skimming your pool allows us to keep it looking clear and blue, as well as helps to maintain the balance of the chemicals in the water.

You stick to vacuuming the inside of your home, we will vacuum the inside of your pool! We use top of the line pool vacuums to keep your swimming pool clear of dirt and debris.

Although salt water systems generate their own chlorine by using the salt cell, chlorine levels can still drop in a saltwater pool. Some typical reasons for low chlorine levels in a salt pool are:

• Low Salt in the cell
• Low Stabilizer/ Cyanuric Acid
• Low Salt due to splashing, backwashing
• Low Salt due to rain water OR evaporation

Adding Salt

When you need to add a large amount of salt to your pool, it should never be added directly into the skimmer. Adding a heavy concentration of salt to your skimmer could cause it to blow a fuse in the salt cell. To avoid this problem, pour your salt across the steps or floor of your pool and use a brush to stir it around until it is completely dissolved. 

Salt Level (Parts Per Million)

A residential salt water pool system requires the salt levels to be maintained in a range between 2800-4200 ppm (parts per million). To put this in perspective, the salt level of the ocean is approximately 35,000 ppm!
